Helping Save Our Loons

BSLA supports the Get the Lead Out program to reduce harmful lead tackle in our lake. 

In 2021 we collected 6 pounds of lead tackle and distributed samples of lead-free tackle to those who  participated.  

In 2022 we donated samples of lead-free tackle to the McGregor School for their student fishing programs.

In 2023, we shared educational materials as well as lead free samples at the annual meeting and Wild Rice Days.
